Let’s continue our discussion on marketing Q&As. In case you missed yesterday’s blog, we are answering some of the most popular marketing questions. More than likely, you’ve even asked a few of these yourself. Today, we’re being a little more general in answering the question “What marketing do I need?” So, sit back and learn something new.

What Marketing Do I Need?

Ahhh, one of our other favorite questions. “What marketing do I need?” and “What marketing would you recommend for my business?” go hand in hand. To answer this question, we need to analyze your customers, your industry, competition and target area to give you an accurate answer. Unfortunately, marketing is not “one size fits all.”

We can tell you the one thing that every business needs (yes, even you). A website. Why? According to the 2014 State of B2B Procurement study from the Acquity Group, 94% of business buyers do some form of online research. You need to make sure your business is found online.

Power Shift

Did you know that it only takes 90 seconds for the unconscious mind to make a decision about the product or company when looking at your website? And 93% of people will only work with a company that has a pleasant visual appearing website. Going to the store has been replaced by online shopping. The purchasing power has been shifted from sellers to the buyers. The buyers are doing their research. This reason, among others, is why your website should be optimized to drive leads and generate sales. Your website is not only an integral part of your creative development, but it is one of the most important aspects of your business and a complete representation of your company as a whole.

So, we can’t tell you what EXACT marketing you need without specifically analyzing your business. But, we can tell you that you need a website to be considered a relevant part of today’s society.
