Alright, this one really hits home…
Figuring out where to eat is a daily struggle for the majority of us. (Especially if you’re out of town and unfamiliar with the restaurants nearby.)
And let me tell you, I’m an eater. I love food and love trying new places when I’m out of town. But how can you find good places to eat when you’re out of town? Not just “a place to eat,” but somewhere that’s been tried and tested…somewhere gooooood.
Be A Part Of Modern Technology
We'll show you how.
Again I ask, how did people do this before today’s technology?
Did people really just drive by a place and think “hmm that looks good! Let’s give it a try!” Did they really take that kind of risk??
My Good Buddies
Not me. I take advantage of the opportunities today’s technology provides and use my good buddies Yelp and/or Zomato (formerly Urban Spoon) to help me with my dining decisions.
If I’m looking for somewhere good to eat, my phone is the first place I go. I pull up my app, type in what kind of restaurant I’m looking for (or if I’m not in a mood, I look at all my options) and choose from there. Typically, I base my decision on the reviews left by other users. However, if I’m really impressed by a restaurant’s website or pictures on their Yelp or Zomato profile, that may do it too.
Isn’t today’s technology incredible? I think so.
If you’re a restaurant, are you utilizing this incredible technology? Because I can assure you I’m not the only one using Yelp or Zomato to make my dining decisions. The advertising options are extensive and can literally lead customers right to your door…customers who wouldn’t have ever tried your restaurant if they hadn’t seen it on their app.
It’s important to have good reviews on your Yelp and/or Zomato profiles, or they can work against you. So, as a restaurant owner, you should offer an incentive to your customers to leave good reviews. It can make all the difference.
