To begin let me give you a brief summary of Inbound. Traditional marketing (billboards, commercials, phone books, etc.) is all about being in front of your clients even when they don’t want to see you. But with the new ways of Inbound it is about being there when your client is looking for you. We live in an on demand society where people only want products and services when they need them. They are not going to search the phone book for where to call, they are going to look you up on the internet. All you need to do is make sure your there when they are looking.
So let’s say you have already implemented Inbound into your company’s marketing plan. Your website is ranked in the top 10 for search engines and keywords. GREAT! You have managed to create landing pages with calls to action and everything is working great other than the fact you can’t generate leads from your website. This is where social media comes in.
Social media is all about content creation. The more content you have, the higher your search engine ranking is going to be as well as your credibility. Social media is there to drive traffic to your site!

We post a tweet on Twitter saying the following: “2015’s must have marketing tips” a link to our site and hashtags to generate more traffic to the post.
A potential customer wants to know more so they click the link. They are now a visitor to the site. Inbound marketing now beings to capture and close them as a customer.
They type in their information and get the information they need. You now have them locked in as a lead.
What’s next? Your lead will then receive an email and other forms of contact from your company to close them as a customer.
