Heinz has announced their 30 second spot introducing their whole family of condiments…featuring none other than wiener dogs. Check it out below!

Slightly absurd? Maybe. Adorable? For sure. Effective? Perhaps…

The goal behind this ad is to build an awareness for the entire line of Heinz products. Michelle St. Jacques, VP of Marketing, condiments and sauces at the Kraft Heinz Company states “Everyone knows and loves Heinz Ketchup, but they may not realize that we offer a range of products for almost any taste….We are launching this campaign during one of the most-viewed events of the year so that everyone can see that great taste runs in the entire Heinz family.”

My opinion is that this ad will catch on. Why? Heinz has a reputation of good food and fun memories between friends and family (think barbecues, 4th of July, sports gatherings etc). An ad that reflects the reputation of a company, and especially one that makes people laugh, is almost always effective. So, in my book, this one is a “must watch!”
