Back for more? We thought you would be!

Yesterday, we started our weeklong blog series on how to run Facebook ads. So, if you’re looking to promote your page, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s continue with steps 3 to 5!

3. Choose The Objective

You are then directed to a page where you are given the option of choosing the type of ad you want to run. The types of ads are based on what the goal of your campaign will be. By scrolling over each option, you will be shown the specific purpose of the ad. For example, the “Promote Your Page” objective will use “Page like objective to promote your page.” This means that you will run a “like ad” for your page, encouraging people to “like” your page to receive the updates you post. This is just one of the 10 types of Facebook ads you could run. For the purpose of this guide, the “Promote Your Page” objective is the one we will choose. (Just because we are choosing to show you this type of ad does not mean you won’t know how to do the other ones. The basics {targeting, images, budget, duration, etc.} will be the same for any Facebook ad.)

Don't Want To Do It Yourself?

That's where we come in.

4. Choose Page

After we select “Promote Your Page,” we are then given the option to choose which page (if you have more than one) that we want to run the ad for. Select the page by clicking the name of the page you choose.

5. Name The Campaign

We can then give this campaign a name. For example, if I am running this ad for Kelsie’s Kupkakes (be creative for a second), I may name the campaign KK-July Like Ad. By default, Facebook names the campaign Page Name-Objective.

But wait, there’s more! Tomorrow, we’ll post steps 6 to 8. See you then!
