Didn’t realize you were getting vocabulary lessons from the SDB team on a Friday, did you? Sorry about that. However, in order to really drive home the meaning behind today’s blog, it’s important to get down to the nitty-gritty detail.
I am an avid reader. I prefer fiction, but I’ve been known to read cereal boxes just to have something. I’ve read Steven R. Covey’s “Seven Traits of Highly Effective People” and Sarah Ban Breathnach’s “Something More: Excavating Your Authentic Self,” both of which are very different but interesting books. The focus of them both? Purpose. Figuring out what you want and how to get there.
Purpose Is Key To A Successful Business
SDB can help you get there!
Marketing is all about purpose. Defining your company’s marketing plan is something that is very purposeful. While there are often outside factors such as market conditions or competitors, being able to internally control your company’s drive and motivation is often what ultimately defines your success. Knowing you have the best product or service isn’t always what increases market share…it’s knowing how to get what you have to people who want or need it.
While casting a wide net, you’re likely to catch something but that doesn’t mean you’re necessarily catching everything you could. Occasionally the law of unintended consequences may help your company discover new customers, but having a purposeful marketing plan will help you discover and utilize your best customers. Target markets, surveys, staying in constant contact, knowing what to offer and to whom…it all adds up to generate more business. The great thing about SDB is that our team knows how to help you do that!
Here’s wishing everyone a fantastic week…now, I need some more coffee.
