As you’ve read in our previous blogs geared toward elective medical practices, websites are essential. Having a website with rich content and an image gallery is very important but one of the most critical elements of an effective plastic surgery website is responsive design.

What Is Responsive Design?

Responsive design is defined is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience. This provides easy reading and navigation across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).

Why Responsive Design?

Why is responsive design so important for a plastic surgery website? Mobile devices are taking over internet surfing. If your website is not optimized for mobile devices, you’re decreasing your chances of a potential patient browsing your site. Don’t limit your practice by having a website designed only for desktop users!

Exhibit A

Recently, Dr. Christopher Godek, a plastic surgeon out of Toms River, NJ unveiled his new plastic surgery website. He incorporated innovative design elements and various unique features. Dr. Godek recognized the growing number of patients using mobile devices to access the internet and developed his website with a responsive design. He also incorporated an appealing color scheme, an “actual patient” image gallery, as well as a user-friendly, yet interactive, layout. Great job, Dr. Godek!
