If you’re like me, you may have noticed a new, brightly colored app on your phone last week. If you’re also like me, you may have asked yourself where it came from. Well, it’s the new and improved Instagram and I’m here to tell you all about it. Check it out!

New Look

Like I mentioned earlier, the Instagram app icon received a new look. Inspired by the previous one, the new icon represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form. (Instagram’s other apps, Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse, also got an icon makeover).

Simple Design

The icon isn’t the only thing that got a new look! With the app, you’ll see a simpler design, putting more focus on photos and videos. The navigation, however, did not change (thanks, Instagram).
