In continuation of this week’s Oscars blog series, we can’t fail to mention one of the most incredible (not to mention most tweeted!) moments of the show…Lady Gaga’s performance.

If you didn’t watch, it wasn’t Gaga showing up in raw meat or arriving in an egg, or even some out of this world crazy performance. She was actually classic…and simple. Simply classic.

Classic With A Twist

Lady Gaga performed a timeless tribute to Julie Andrews’ Sound Of Music. Her performance was beautiful, and Julie Andrews was moved to tears. Job well done, Gaga.

Okay, so at this point you may be wondering what on earth Lady Gaga’s performance has to do with your marketing. Let me explain. When Julie Andrews starred in The Sound Of Music in 1965, her performance was timeless and remarkable. So remarkable, in fact, that it is still celebrated 50 years later. However, Lady Gaga’s tribute at The Oscars was undoubtedly incredible and made The Sound Of Music relevant again in our society. A modern twist on a timeless classic.

Here’s Where You Come In

Cue your marketing. Your marketing was at the top of its game 10 years ago when you first launched your business. However, the advances in technology and social trends have reduced the effectiveness of your marketing and you’re wondering how to give it the “Lady Gaga modern twist.” Your current marketing efforts may be “working” but with some adjustments (website, social media, online advertising, etc.) it could be relevant and lively all over again.

At SDB, we specialize in this “modern twist.” We take your marketing from mediocre to magnificent. Lady Gaga may have won The Oscars, but SDB will win for your business. Your success is our success, so let’s get started today.
