Leave The Disappointment To Bieber

Disappointed.

It’s one of the worst feelings you can have. Wouldn’t you agree? You get your hopes set high, only for them to be crushed in a way that makes you question why you got your hopes up in the first place.

Or, in my most recent case of disappointment, crushed in a way that makes you wonder if you really ever knew someone at all.

Maybe this seems dramatic to you, and no, I’m not recovering from a breakup. I’m recovering from the seemingly selfish actions of my popstar crush, Justin Bieber. Of course, my fellow Belieber friends and I had tickets to the concert that was set to occur mere days before he cancelled the tour.

Disappointed is an understatement.

I won’t continue with my sob story, it’s gone on long enough. But Justin, if you’re reading this, it’s too late now to say sorry.

Hang With Me

If you’re wondering why I’m writing this on a blog that’s supposed to be about business and marketing, I’m sure you’re not alone. Hang with me, the connection is coming. My recent feelings of disappointment made me think about how so many of our clients feel after an advertising attempt goes wrong. Disappointed, and maybe even regretful for trying it in the first place. The very last thing they want to do is try again.

But they know they need it for their business.

So what’s the solution? You’ve been burned by failed marketing efforts or maybe even a less than satisfactory marketing person or team. Let me tell you – try again.

Disappointed, But Not Defeated

I know, it’s the last thing you want to hear. Why would you try again? You’ve wasted money and time. As a business owner, you’ve made mistakes to get where you are today. The important part of making those mistakes is learning from them. Learn from poor advertising experiences and make it better next time.

(No matter how heartbroken Justin made me, I will find concert tickets the next time he comes within driving distance. I will try again.)
