The broadcaster who won biggest was the fifth network, The CW, with Jane the Virgin. Amazon took home their first win with Transparent, beating out HBO’s Girls and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black.

This year’s Golden Globes made a strong statement about TV as we know it. Netflix’s original House of Cards’ leading actor, Kevin Spacey took home a Globe as best actor in drama. Showtime’s The Affair, which debuted in October, scored wins as best TV drama and best dramatic actress for star Ruth Wilson.
