Love Girl Scout cookies? Well, we’ve got good news for you!

The Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. have approved a digital marketing plan, introducing “Digital Cookie.” Director of the digital cookie effort, Sarah Angel-Johnson says “Girls across the country now can use modern tools to expand the size and scope of their cookie business, and learn vital entrepreneurial lessons in online marketing, application use and e-commerce.”

Each Girl Scout will be allowed to have her own cookies website, available to customers through an emailed invitation. “Digital Cookie” will begin nationally in January, as the cookie sales season begins. Fear not, traditional cookie buyers, Girl Scouts will still be able to use the tried and true sales strategy of going door to door and setting up booths at popular locations. However, this new digital marketing plan will allow Girl Scouts to reach more customers as well as keep track of orders.
