Why You Should Be Like Crayola
Last week, Crayola announced shocking news, rocking the world as we know it.
According to USA Today, “Crayola announced that it’s replacing its signature dark yellow Dandelion crayon with a color in the blue family.”
Shocking, I know.
“Dandelion’s retirement marked the first time in Crayola’s history that it removed a color from a box of 24.”
What This Means For You
I know what you’re all thinking. How will we go on without Dandelion? What are we going to do without this color named after a weed??
Strangely enough, Crayola’s move does have something to do with your marketing and advertising. Think about it. Like I quoted earlier, this was the first time in Crayola’s history to remove a color from a box of 24.
Big move, Crayola.
Maybe it’s time for you to make a “big move” with your marketing and advertising. You may have advertised your business the same way for years. Maybe even since the very beginning! Or, maybe you’ve never even advertised at all. It’s time to make a change.
Marketing And Advertising – Why?
Why use marketing and advertising to expose your business or build a brand? Your competition is doing it. You may think you can sit by and use “your connections” or “word of mouth” to grow your business, but your competition will get ahead. You may not see it now, but it will happen.
Make a move like Crayola did. They took a risk and you should too. Why? Sometimes taking a risk is all it takes to put you over the top and experience the growth you’ve been wanting for years. The way our society consumes media has changed. Your marketing and advertising must adapt.
