First of all: lighten up.

Just because you aren’t an artisan peddling handcrafted wares doesn’t mean that you can’t get into the season. While the holidays have most definitely been taken over by mass marketed retailers, there are still a ton of things you can do to promote your business to compete.

Holiday Marketing Tip #1 – Host An Event

Whether it’s offering an open house with fresh-baked goods and hot cider or a customer appreciation luncheon, holiday events are always a smash.

Holiday Marketing Tip #2 – Volunteer

Not only does volunteering your time or your money make an impact in your community, sharing with your audience the causes which are near and dear to your heart makes a difference.

Holiday Marketing Tip #3 – Show Your Customers You Care

If you’ve been with SDB Creative Group during past Christmases, you know we do salsa. Amazing homemade salsa. There is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that go into making it for our clients each year (just kidding, it’s mostly love, laughter, and maybe some tears from the onions). But our customers look forward to it each year…and it lets them know we care.

Holiday Marketing Tip #4 – Be Festive

Decorate your office, post holiday-friendly posts on social media, share photos of yourself and your team getting into the festivities. The holiday spirit is more contagious than the flu.

Holiday Marketing Tip #5 – Be Authentic

People don’t want to see you doing things just as a promotional action. You have to be real. Do things from the bottom of your heart. Give your money, time, and energy. It genuinely makes a difference.
