This week, SDB is sharing “Christmas-themed” blogs…what does this have to do with your marketing?
But, it does help you get to know the team working for you just a little bit better! That’s important too!
I love ALL Christmases, it’s my favorite time of year! Christmas music, food, gifts, decorations, food, time with friends and family, lights, food…I love it all! However, the one Christmas that stands out the most to me has to be when I received my favorite Christmas present.
When I was 9 years old, I decided I wanted a puppy. I tried to show my parents how responsible I was by cleaning my room and doing my homework (without being told!), but they just kept telling me how puppies where a huge responsibility that I just wasn’t ready for…and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to convince them!
So when Christmas came, of course I asked Santa for a puppy. (I thought maybe he would bring me one since my mom and dad wouldn’t!) I hoped and prayed I would find a puppy under the tree on Christmas morning…but unfortunately, I didn’t.
We finished opening presents on Christmas morning and I looked around one last time to make sure there weren’t any left. Sadly, it didn’t look like I was getting a puppy that year. My dad said he remembered one last gift in his truck and went out into the garage. When he came back in, I couldn’t believe it! My dad was carrying a sweet black lab puppy with a bow around her neck! What a surprise! My puppy, who I later named Angel, was my very favorite Christmas present and made that Christmas my most special one yet!
I hope your holiday season is full of love and laughs…and maybe even a puppy under your tree!
