Let me guess. The title of this blog got your attention.
You’re thinking, “what? I thought they were an advertising agency. Why would they be saying a receptionist should do marketing??”
So, let me give you what you came here for…3 reasons why your receptionist should do your marketing.
1. You love seeing weekly “#FriYAY” selfies on your business’ Facebook page.
We get it. Friday is a day worth celebrating. However, “#FriYAY” selfies are probably not the best way to do it. If your receptionist would like to post those to her personal Facebook page, then awesome! That’s what personal pages are for. However, your business page deserves more, umm, appropriate content.
2. You enjoy the phones not being answered.
The honest truth: if your receptionist is busy doing your “marketing,” then she may put answering the phones on the back burner. It’s not that she’s not working, right?
3. You appreciate a job done poorly.
Let’s face it. Marketing is not your receptionist’s job just like being a receptionist isn’t your job. She may be really good at “receptioning” (yeah, I made it up), but unless she doubles as a marketing professional, then she isn’t qualified for the job. Plain and simple.

I’m going to tell you something that most people don’t seem to realize (brutal truth alert)…
For your marketing to be successful, it has to be done by someone who knows what they’re doing (preferably an experienced professional). Just because someone knows how to work Facebook DOES NOT mean they are qualified to do your marketing.
You can’t say that you’ve “tried marketing and it doesn’t work” if you didn’t try it correctly. Believe us, if it had been done correctly, you wouldn’t be saying that.
So trust a team that does know what they’re doing. Trust the team that will take your business to the next level. Trust SDB.
